Temple Of The Tooth
The Temple of the Tooth, alternatively known as Sri Dalada Maligawa, is a Buddhist temple in the great city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. This temple holds the sacred relic of the tooth of Buddha, which is venerated by Buddhists from all over the world. The initial building that houses the tooth relic was constructed in the 16th century by King Vimaladharmasuriya I.
The importance that is given to the Temple of the Tooth is historical as well as religious; it is one of the sacred places of Buddhism and draws a heap of pilgrims from all parts of the world. Housed in a chamber fully adorned with intricate carvings and designs, the tooth relic remains within a golden casket.

Udawalawa National Park

During the colonial era, the location of this tree was kept secret as that would prevent any destruction of the same. Sigiriya
